Parallel Lines

The three short films take you through personal stories and experiences of residents of the U.S.-Mexico border in El Paso and Juarez. Parallel Lines, was nominated for best documentary at the Paris Art and Movie Awards and is an official selection at Festival Sayulita.

Parallel Lines tells the stories of Olga Perez, a formerly undocumented maid, and Chuck Foss, a former U.S. border patrol agent, who respectively live in the border towns of Juarez, Mexico, and El Paso, Texas, and whose occupational histories would seem to put them at odds. But the stories Olga and Chuck reveal a much more complex relationship between those who police the border and those who cross it, which also includes compassion, respect, and a shared daily existence.

Halloween and Día de los Muertos at the Border is about holidays on both sides of the border in El Paso and Juarez.

Not a Wall is a short film about residents of El Paso and Juarez who describe their relationship with the border and the terminology they use to describe it.
